Galatians 4:1 “What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate.” (NIV)
As a Christian, you own the whole estate! The riches of God’s kingdom, His power, and His grace have been lavished upon you that you might experience God’s full abundance and work today – not just after death. Ephesians1:3 says, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” If you are blessed with every spiritual blessing but choose to ignore your inheritance, your life differs little from the time before you knew Christ and were a slave to the world. God wants you to experience His blessings now. Experiencing the fullness of God’s blessings is somewhat like experiencing the full benefits of the Microsoft Word program with which I am writing this devotion. The more I understand and experience the program, the more I experience the benefits of the program. The more you know and experience Christ, the more you will experience His work and life in you. Don’t live your life in Christ as a child who misses the Lord’s abundance and purpose; live your life as an heir of Christ who walks in the power and fullness of Him Who saved you!
Ephesians 4:14-16 “As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, Who is the Head, even Christ, from Whom the whole body, being fitted and held together.” (NASB)
